Description
As part of my volunteer work in promoting astronomy in underprivileged areas of the Fes region in Morocco, I conducted a field study to assess students’ awareness and interest in the field of astronomy. The study also focused on evaluating teachers’ understanding of this fascinating domain and their willingness to integrate it into their classrooms. Surveys and interviews were employed to collect data, complemented by educational workshops aimed at introducing the basics of astronomy to both students and teachers. This work seeks to highlight the importance of incorporating astronomy into educational curricula and raising awareness of its role in fostering scientific thinking and creativity among young people and educators alike.
