Description

Conventional teaching methods concerning lunar topics typically involve textbook-based direct instruction combined with official news clips, simulated videos, and Moon-themed presentations. However, for students, comprehending the history of space missions and human lunar exploration through these means can often seem abstract. The "Outer Space Classroom in Meteorite Lab" program within schools has integrated a range of interactive and specialized science communication activities. These include 3D-printed lunar models, scale replicas of spacecraft utilized in human lunar missions, samples of lunar meteorites, official space photographs depicting human lunar landings, miniature models of spacesuits, and interactive exhibits showcasing lunar craters. This diverse array of resources enables students to immerse themselves in the milestones of human lunar exploration, integrating these experiences into innovative science education and STEAM activities. Such an approach empowers students to delve into astronomy, planetary science, and astrophysics through engaging, multisensory, and varied learning experiences.
